Come for the waterfront views,

stay for the friendly, bohemian atmosphere.

Gulfport's undeniable charm is truly captivating. With its friendly, bohemian ambiance and laid-back, funky vibes, this small town has earned a special place in the hearts of many. Offering beach access, parks, a thriving restaurant scene, and a lively bar and music scene, Gulfport is emerging as one of the hottest real estate destinations in the region. But even if owning a dream home here remains a distant aspiration (don't worry, we're in the same boat), there's still an abundance of reasons to visit for a day trip or to keep coming back.

Times tip: Gulfport is home to a number of outdoor markets and festivals, including GeckoFest in September, the monthly First Friday Art Walk and the weekly Gulfport Tuesday Fresh Market.

⛳️Let's begin your Gulfport adventure!

Start Your Day Right

For a solid breakfast choice, look no further than Stella's, a Gulfport institution. Their fried green tomato BLT, served on crusty sourdough toast with spicy mayo, is a standout. Don't forget to try their impressive mimosa and Bloody Mary selection, featuring options like a spicy bacon and jalapeno version or an Asian-inspired concoction made with soy sauce, wasabi, and cucumber.

If you're in need of a caffeine boost, make your way to GulfPerk, a charming coffeehouse and breakfast spot. They offer an array of espresso drinks and signature creations, including the indulgent Cookie Butter Latte. Plus, you can savor breakfast sandwiches, bagels, and avocado toast.

Along Beach Boulevard S, you'll find a plethora of boutiques to peruse. A personal favorite is the Gulfport Beach Bazaar, known for its eclectic collection of vintage collectibles, antiques, refurbished furniture, Christmas ornaments, beach accessories, and jewelry. Surprisingly, you'll also discover a U.S. Post Office tucked amidst these funky finds, in case you need to send a package or get a document notarized.

Gulfport caters to outdoor enthusiasts, particularly kayakers and paddleboarders. Gulfport Beach Park, situated on Shore Boulevard S between 54th and 58th streets, offers a picturesque setting for picnics and sunset gazing. The beachfront volleyball court is always buzzing with activity. For a nature-filled experience, explore the boardwalk trails through the mangroves or rent a kayak at Clam Bayou Nature Park (located at 29th Avenue S and Miriam Street S), just a short five-minute bike ride from downtown Gulfport.

Feeling thirsty? Grab a seat at the outdoor picnic tables of Gulfport Brewery, known for its ever-changing selection of 16 beers on tap, including the popular New England-style hazy pale ale, the Hippie Oasis. They also offer a delicious food menu, with house flatbreads being a standout, especially the bacon and Brussels sprouts topping.

Beer enthusiasts have another option at the North End Taphouse, which shares a courtyard hosting frequent live music acts. Nearby, SumitrA, a cozy coffeehouse, serves tea, espresso, wine, and CBD-infused beverages.

Make it a Memorable Evening

Gulfport's restaurant scene is continually evolving, but Pia's Trattoria has remained a neighborhood favorite since 2005. Known for its romantic ambiance, this Italian restaurant offers rustic Italian specialties, including exceptional pasta dishes.

For vegan diners, Golden Dinosaurs is a must-visit, offering a plant-based menu with creative twists on comfort food classics, such as "pastrami" Reuben sandwiches, Beyond Meat burgers, and chili dogs.

For a waterfront dining experience, head to O'Maddy's Bar and Grille, a popular spot for people-watching and a neighborhood hangout. Their menu boasts surf and turf options, with the crab cake sandwich being a standout. If you're in the mood for some post-dinner entertainment, the bar hosts karaoke every night.

For those craving both dinner and a show, the Tiki Bar and Grill frequently features live music. And don't leave without trying their delectable key lime pie, one of the town's best slices.
